VA Acknowledgement

The VA would like to acknowledge the following contributions to the development of this set of posters:

• Four of the posters were based on posters previously developed by the United Kingdom's National Health Service's National Patient Safety Agency as part of their "Clean your hands" campaign.
• About 20 of the posters were developed jointly by VA and 3M personnel as part of a joint project to use the 3M Six Sigma process to improve hand hygiene practices at VA medical centers.

The VA would like to acknowledge the following agencies for allowing the use of their materials:

• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the US Department of Health and Human Services for four of the flu posters (Flu 1,2,3 and 8)
• The Canadian Coalition for Immunization Awareness & Promotion (CCIAP) for one of the flu posters (Flu 4).

VA wishes to thank Robert Miranda-Acevedo of the National Institutes of Health for translating the Spanish posters on hand and respiratory hygiene.
