Benefits for Health Effects of Gulf War Service
Gulf War Veterans may be eligible for three different VA benefits:
Surviving spouses, dependent children and dependent parents of Gulf War Veterans who died as the result of illnesses related to Gulf War service may be eligible for survivors' benefits.
Educational Materials
VA developed the Gulf War Review, a newsletter that provides information especially for Veterans who served in Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. View the newsletter archive for the Gulf War Review.
The Environmental Health Registry Programs for Veterans brochure (495 KB, PDF) provides an overview of five VA health registry programs that track the health of Veterans exposed to environmental hazards during military service: Ionizing Radiation, Agent Orange, Gulf War, Depleted Uranium, and Toxic Embedded Fragments.
